I am continuing a massive dump of FAL content to be made available via this new site. Today saw the upload of around 170 creature entries (images and descriptions) which are available on the FAL Wiki. Another approximately 130 entries will probably be dumped sometime this coming week. In addition to the creature entries, I will also be uploading information on heroes and villains from FAL as well as locations. Some of these entries will be complete while others will be evolving.
The rationale behind this large information dump is to begin using the wiki and the website as a depository of FAL information – evolving in real time as it is being worked on and edited so that those who are interested have a continuous stream of content. I do a lot of writing and work on FAL that sits idle waiting to be included in new works. I have decided that while much of the content on this site will eventually be included in new works, it will also be made public as it develops. While these entries won’t see early early drafts, they will see drafts that are incomplete and subject to change.
Finally, game mechanics and rules will not be finding their way onto the site. The FAL Quick Start Rules will remain available for free as will the classic FAL adventures. In the future months I will be rolling out massive FAL projects that include the FAL Card Game, the FAL Swords & Wizardry version, a possible FAL B/X creature manual, and the Adventures of Gruun and Mirabell which is a 40,000 word novella.
Anyway. This is where things are and where things are going. I hope this sounds good. I’m excited.
